Receiving international text possible?

I am currently on Total Wireless but an considering a switch to Tracfone since it seems to be cheaper for the Unlimited Talk/Text and 1GB Data monthly plan and is on the Verizon network.

As far as I know, we cannot send texts to international numbers but can we receive texts from all international numbers? I am able to receive international texts on Total Wireless and need to be able to continue doing so if I switch to Tracfone.
